When it comes to Coldplay, I've decided to not compare any of their offerings to each other as they're all a masterpiece in their own right. Fans will definitely not be dissapointed by this album, although I found that it took 2 listenings before I was really hooked on the individual songs. If you like Coldplay, you'll like this album.

That would be how I would sum it up: the very familiar Coldplay sound any fan has grown to love but also very fresh and new. I absolutely LOVE it and cannot stop listening to it. I would recommend this to any Coldplay fan and also to those music lovers who are not familiar with their work. Go watch the two sampler videos of Violet Hill on their website to see if you like their sound... my bet is, you will. Then add this CD to your collection, it has already reached the top on the UK charts

It's hard to believe they could do better than X&Y, but they've done it. Chris Martin's vocal range is tested & he passes with flying colours. Viva la Vida is destined to become a classic along the lines of Bohemian Rhapsody. Buy this CD now!
