In the new Millenium The Doors is the longest rocking alternative nightclub in S.A (16 years), and is in the top 10 worldwide. Having hosted many live international acts such as The Mission, Danko Jones, Seether, The Haunted, Entombed, Mortification, Seven 13 and many others. Not to mention some of the most memorable local gigs including Springbok Nude Girls’ 10 Year Reunion, The Narrow, Seether/Saron Gas, Perez, Wickhead, 16 Stitch, Pestroy, Jo Day, The Awakening and of course “The Doorstock” and “Who Man Wrongs” concerts.

There were many after parties for international bands visiting S.A shores, the likes of The Offspring, New Model Army, Evanescence and many more. Ushering in the younger generation the music genre has changed over the years and it isn’t the easiest having to keep the balance between each genre i.e. Alternative, Modern Rock, Metal, Gothic & the old Marshall Street Classics. Having excellent DJ’s (Jules, Andrew (Chot), Lee, Franx, Mike & Brent), good barmen, great crowds and a party atmosphere every night will ensure the club keeps rocking long into the future…
