A musical partner to Thicker than Water Both in as much as both albums are soundtracks that feature music by Jack Johnson, as well as other artists, including G. Love and Special Sauce, Ben Harper, Finley Quay, among others. Both these soundtracks are from critically acclaimed surf-films made by Jack Johnson and the Malloy Brothers, films which has won many awards, including ESPN's Best Sports Movie Award. Both soundtracks feature Jack Johnson's guitar playing as 'score' to the film, as well as early versions of songs like 'Flake', 'F-Stop Blues' (both from Jack's debut album "Brushfire Fairytales") and 'Holes in Heaven' (from his second offering, "On and On"). These albums perfectly convey the laid-back feel of the films.
