Amazing Album - It's Definitely Not Over for ChrisReviewed by Paul from Johannesburg, South Africa on 13 April 2007 369 of 694 people found the following review helpful: After eagerly watching Chris' progress in American Idol (2006) and being totally shocked with his exit I was delighted when the album was finally released in SA. So...when I heard, I rushed out and bought the album; not even having heard one song. I was not disappointed.
The album is full of sounds of familiar artists: Nickelback, Live, Rob Thomas/Matchbox 20; but with a Chris Daughtry signature. The trick is to chose which is my favourite track; they are all amazing; full of emotion and feeling; delivered with the raw rock energy that Chris did so well in AI.
The album was certified double platinum (2mil copies shipped) early in March 2007, a mere 4 months after its release and spent 2 weeks on the #1 spot of Billboard. Currently (13 April 2007), sold 2.1 million copies. Not bad going seeing that neither Taylor Hicks nor Katherine Mcphee has come anywhere near that.
I'm disappointed that "It Ain't Over" has not received much airplay in SA yet. However, the album comes HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Was this review helpful?
