Indications: Herbal medicine for the stimulation of the immune response system.
Contra-indications: Contains Echinacea – Do not use with AIDS or HIV infection. Do not use with tuberculosis. Contains Mint – Do not use with gallstones. Do not use with hiatal hernia and a history of relaxed lower oesophageal sphincter. Contains Goldenrod – Do not use with chronic kidney disorders. Do not use with oedema from heart failure or kidney insufficiency. Do not use with protein hypersensitivity. Contains Astralagus – Do not use with high fever.
Warnings: Do not use continuously for more than 6 days, without abstaining for one day.
Dosage and directions for use: Take 15 drops in 25ml water three times daily, or as prescribed.
Side-effects and special precautions: Contains Echinacea – Use with caution by those who are allergic to plants in the sunflower family. Contains Mint – Caution may interfere with iron absorption. Do not use when pregnant except under medical supervision. Contains Mistletoe – Caution may cause severe allergic reaction. Do not use when pregnant. Contains Hawthorn - Caution potentiates the activity of cardiac glycosides. An herbalist or physician should monitor patients using these medications since the dose of pharmaceutical drug will need to be reduced during intercurrent therapy. Contains Bee Propolis – Not to be used by those allergic to bee stings or bee products. Known symptoms of overdosage and particulars of its treatment: Contains Mistletoe - Capable of inducing a lectin toxidrome: A few hours after ingestion there is burning in the mouth, abdominal pain and diarrhoea due to the development of necrotic lesion in the gastrointestinal tract. Internal signs may not appear for days. A massive overdose causes kidney and liver damage, internal haemorrhage and a total loss of gastrointestinal function. Other signs include diaphoresis, hypertension, increased heart rate, heart failure and total collapse. Degeneration of the thymus gland has been noted. Consumption of the whole product may cause alcoholic intoxication. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
