What The Beep Do We Know!? is a new type of film. It is part documentary, part story, and part animations. The protagonist, Amanda (Marlee Matlin), finds herself in a fantastic 'Alice in Wonderland' experience when her daily, uninspired life literally begins to unravel, revealing the uncertain world of the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our normal, waking reality.

She is literally plunged into a swirl of chaotic occurrences, while the characters she encounters on this odyssey reveal the deeper, hidden knowledge she doesn't even realize she has asked for. Like every hero, Amanda is thrown into crisis, questioning the fundamental premises of her life - that the reality she has believed in about how men are, how relationships with others should be, and how her emotions are affecting her work isn't reality at all!

As Amanda learns to relax into the experience, she conquers her fears, gains wisdom, and wins the keys to the great secrets of the ages, all in the most entertaining way. She is then no longer the victim of circumstances, but she is on the way to being the creative force in her life. Her life will never be the same.

The fourteen top scientists and mystics interviewed in documentary style serve as a modern day Greek Chorus. In an artful filmic dance, their ideas are woven together as a tapestry of truth. The thoughts and words of one member of the chorus blend into those of the next, adding further emphasis to the film's underlying concept of the interconnectedness of all things.

The chorus members act as hosts who live outside of the story, and from this Olympian view, comment on the actions of the characters below. They are also there to introduce the Great Questions framed by both science and religion, which divides the film into a series of acts. Through the course of the film, the distinction between science and religion becomes increasingly blurred, since we realize that, in essence, both science and religion describe the same phenomena.

The film employs animation to realize the radical knowledge that modern science has unearthed in recent years. Powerful cinematic sequences explore the inner-workings of the human brain. Quirky animation introduces us to the smallest form of consciousness in the body - the cell. Dazzling visuals reinforce the film's message in an exciting, powerful way. Done with humor, precision, and irreverence, these scenes are only part of what makes this film unique in the history of cinema.

  Psuedo Science and Mysticism

This "movie"/"documentary" starts of with valid science/physics, but then it quickly moves into psuedo science and psuedo physics. They claim the world works in certain ways. But it is definitely not the established view in physics today, and probably never will be. Most of the "scientists" have no published work in recognised scientific journals. Read more on the web. SERIOUSLY, check out the web before buying this. Read the following before BELIEVING ANYTHING THEY SAY. Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_the_Bleep_Do_We_Know%3F! http://www.einsteinyear.org/bleep and reputed science magazine, New Scientist: http://www.newscientist.com/channel/fundamentals/mg18624952.500.html If however you believe in all that crystal mumbo-jumbo you will absolutely love this movie. I absolutely recommend you waste your money, time, intellect and "positive energy" on it.

  Mind-Blowing Times

This movie is a true sign of the times. Knowledge that has been known for centuries from esoteric and spiritual paths is now being 'proven' via scientific research, such as the nature of consciousness and the power we all have to create our own environments. The documentary style of the film may be a bit slow-moving for some - but it definately picks up pace! It is quite an information overload, and you'll find you pick up new information each time you see it. I found this a truly mind-blowing film! If you are interested in this subject, try reading Michael Sharp's books (The Book of Life, Dossier of the Ascension and The Book of Light)and 'Messages in Water' by Dr Masuru Emoto (featured in the film). Definately a film worthy of your DVD collection. Hopefully we'll see more and more cinema like this in the near future! (The sequel "Down the Rabbit Hole" has recently been released in the States...)

  The truth behind the mystery
Reviewed by Mrs Adel van Loggerenberg from Johannesburg on 08 August 2007

What the bleep do we know is a must see for those out there who have always known or even thought that there is more to life than the everyday mundane drudgery. It takes conventional Euclidean(linear) science and tosses it out the window - similar to what chaos theory did to Euclidean mathematics - and that has caused many people to move against it, because it challenges the thinking that we are not in control, if anything this movie tells you straight out, that we are in total control of our lives. This movie is not just for hippies and spiritualists, but it is for everyone. I say get it, watch, understand it and then take a moment to feel your world already change for the better.
