Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow is an old-fashioned story of international espionage that unfolds after 1930s New York is blitzed by an army of bizarre, flying robots. Hollywood is truly baffling sometimes - they took all the most advanced filming equipment in the world to make a film that looks as if it was made 60 years ago. Madness. Yet somehow this trick has worked. The film gives off this strange vibe where you should laugh your head off because of the ludicrous events that take place, yet instead you pay attention to every detail. Think maybe the golden age of "Coloured by Technicolor" is making a return? Me neither.
