kalahari.net together with MySchool have partnered in an initiative to donate books to underprivileged schools on a national scale. This project seeks to encourage learning and reading habits among children. Every quarter, a new school will be selected with the help of MySchool to receive these books. Most often these books are used to stock a library at the schools. We encourage you to join us in this effort by simply purchasing any of the selected books. Delivery on these orders will be free of charge to you! So make a difference today by donating a book now!

kalahari.net have embarked on their sixth book donation project which will take place in the Eastern Cape. The chosen school is STRELITZIA PRIMARY SCHOOL
which is specifically situated in the outskirts of the Eastern Cape. The school has an enrollment of 1172 learners but annually collect 35% of the total expected
income. The bulk of this amount has to be utilized on repairs to the school building and therefore leaves the school with a depleted budget to spend on learning materials.
The increased number of Xhosa learners at our school has resulted in the school changing to a dual medium. With this schools disposition your book donations will
make a world of difference to the children of STRELITZIA PRIMARY SCHOOL!
So how can you help?
Simply buy any of the selected books between 1 August 2009 and 1 November 2009 and be sure to choose the kalahari.net book donation
delivery address option on the check-out page – your books will be donated to STRELITZIA PRIMARY SCHOOL. There will be no delivery charge on these books.

The Shine Centre previously had limited access to library books for their students. Now, thanks to you, our donation aided the school in developing their
library and present reading classes to their learners. The book donation is an ongoing project run in
partnership with the MySchool fundraising programme which you support. MySchool supporters and kalahari.net
customers are invited to make a donation on the website in benefit of the next under-resourced school,
Strelitzia Primary.
