The Secret
Was R210.00 Now R189.00
No matter who you are or where you live ... when you realise The Secret you can have anything your heart desires Once known only by an elite who were unwilling to share their knowledge of the power, 'the secret' of obtaining anything you desire is now revealed by prominent physicists, authors and philosophers as being based in the universal Law of Attraction. And the good news is that anyone can access its power to bring themselves health, wealth and happiness. Fragments of The Secret have been found in oral traditions, literature, religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. A number of the exceptional people who discovered its power went on to become regarded as the greatest human beings who ever lived. Among them: Plato, Leonardo, Galileo and Einstein. Now 'the secret' is being shared with the world. Beautiful in its simplicity, and mind-dazzling in its ability to really work, The Secret reveals the mystery of the hidden potential within us all. By unifying leading-edge scientific thought with ancient wisdom and spirituality, the riveting, practical knowledge will lead readers to a greater understanding of how they can be the masters of their own lives.

Depending on your beliefs...Reviewed by Ms Gail Meyer from Cape Town, South Africa on 05 September 2007 1015 of 1905 people found the following review helpful: While the basic principals seem quite Fundamental to me, and a far cry from a SECRET...
They also seem to focus on the fact that We are the CREATORS of our own destiny and ultimately we are god, just as god is in the skyscrapers..
The book accepts all sources of Power as being acceptable - i.e. if you pray to Budha, Jesus, or seek council from the Stars as being fine.
So if it's a New age kind of reading that you are looking for - then go for it.
It fit into any religious background...which to me as a Christian..I found it far too Multi-Inter-religious for me to accept.
So if it is a book that you want to base your own religious principals on - rather get a book written by someone who Believes what you do.
This book is far too Eroneous for me.
Besides, this book just repeats what all other self help books do.
Not much of a secret in that.
If you are a Christian I would rather read:

The Secret...The Truth Behind the Lie.Reviewed by Unknown on 10 March 2009 185 of 359 people found the following review helpful: The Secret...The Truth Behind the Lie
by Kevin Hogan
...and the first truth is... that God is not a Slot Machine.
The new book, The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne is an encapsulization of a recurring wish for magic, to be real.
Shoot, everyone wants to be able to play Quidditch. We all have hoped for potions and spells to be effective at rendering a teacher or professor silent for a day...we all want to be able to fight off evil dementors...
It's the simple notion that you can blink your eyes or wiggle your nose and that which you desire will appear....that Santa Claus really will come down the chimney...(and if anyone wanted to believe that...it would be me) ...the simple notion that these things are real is where things start to get unsettling...and for most people on this planet, offensive.
And I should be precise. The philosophy is not about Santa Claus or wiggling your nose. Specifically I am most concerned about an ideology that comes from higher beings in the universe channelled through a human who then teaches it to a bunch of people as a "law of the universe" like gravity.
The Magical "Law of Attraction"
"Attract a feather...it will come."
Not if there's no birds on your island it won't....
Unfortunately, there is either an unkind lie or a big mistake happening.
But here's the thing:
God is *not* a slot machine.
And that is a fairly profound statement.
He doesn't withhold the money from the people of the African continent because they are unable to "believe enough", nor does he bless the Americans (or Australians) because they believe so much better.
The "Law of Attraction" as it is presented in metaphysical literature like The Secret is indeed an untruth and a mistake.
