Author: Rhonda Byrne

Once known only by an elite who were unwilling to share their knowledge of the power, 'the secret' of obtaining anything you desire is now revealed by prominent physicists, authors and philosophers as being based in the universal Law of Attraction. And the good news is that anyone can access its power to bring themselves health, wealth and happiness. Fragments of The Secret have been found in oral traditions, literature, religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. A number of the exceptional people who discovered its power went on to become regarded as the greatest human beings who ever lived. Among them: Plato, Leonardo, Galileo and Einstein. Now 'the secret' is being shared with the world. Beautiful in its simplicity, and mind-dazzling in its ability to really work, The Secret reveals the mystery of the hidden potential within us all. By unifying leading-edge scientific thought with ancient wisdom and spirituality, the riveting, practical knowledge will lead readers to a greater understanding of how they can be the masters of their own lives.

Depending on your beliefs...Reviewed by Ms Gail Meyer from Cape Town, South Africa on 05 September 2007 728 of 1350 people found the following review helpful: While the basic principals seem quite Fundamental to me, and a far cry from a SECRET...
They also seem to focus on the fact that We are the CREATORS of our own destiny and ultimately we are god, just as god is in the skyscrapers..
The book accepts all sources of Power as being acceptable - i.e. if you pray to Budha, Jesus, or seek council from the Stars as being fine.
So if it's a New age kind of reading that you are looking for - then go for it.
It fit into any religious background...which to me as a Christian..I found it far too Multi-Inter-religious for me to accept.
So if it is a book that you want to base your own religious principals on - rather get a book written by someone who Believes what you do.
This book is far too Eroneous for me.
Besides, this book just repeats what all other self help books do.
Not much of a secret in that.
If you are a Christian I would rather read:
The Christian's Secret of a Happy Life By Hannah Whitall Smith
