A Fantastic Journey of Self Discovery!Reviewed by Mr Duke Coulbanis from Stellenbosch, South Africa on 05 March 2003 325 of 656 people found the following review helpful: Although the title of this posting may have nothing to do with 'drawing' it is, nonetheless, a most fitting title for a review of Betty Edwards' book. I read the book some time ago, and did the excersises as she proposed, and the results are simply phenomenal. I would recommend it for anyone and everyone - ESPECIALLY IF YOU THINK YOU CAN'T DRAW! It WILL prove you wrong, but you'll have incredible fun in the process.
The idea that you simply have to do a mind-shift in order to draw well may seem unlikely at first. Nevertheless, with an easy-to-read guide that is "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" and with the highly entertaining exercises, you can easily conclude that this idea is in fact true. The principles taught are applicable in many spheres of one's life and in this sense, learning to draw with Betty Edwards' method is a journey to self-discovery, self-improvement and, above all, incredibly high-quality entertainment.
