Information Systems in a Business Environment is an introduction to the theory of computerised information systems as seen from a business perspective.

The approach the authors followed in writing this book was to give prospective professional accountants a broad theoretical knowledge of the issues involved in inform­ation systems. The contents of this book are therefore specifically aimed at covering the basic knowledge requirements as set out by the different professional accounting bodies (including the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, the International Federation of Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
